The test

Speedometer dials of HEIZ (69 euro), against a produuct of another offerer (prices rary between 19 and 60 euro).

The photos for this we provided ourselves. The texts are from Mike, a customer , who alresdy made best expeeriences with our dials for its Ford Focus.

White dial with red numbers and red transillumination of HEIZ. The number and the pointer are according to data of HEIZ at night red to analyze/shine turn signal green.

Blue dial with white numbers and white transillumination of.......The dial is to shine according to the data of the supplier at night blue. The foil has blue turn signals?!

The dials of HEIZ are from 0,8m flexible plastic, which very evenly distributes the light in the dial by its transluzente characteristic. With look at before a source of light alresdy was I in glad expecation, since the numbers radiated bright red.

The dials of the other offerer consist actually of a sheet paper, printed on and bilaterally in foil in laminated. DAltogether approx,0,4mm with one looks at the tickness the paper structure clear before a souce of light sees. Of blue tranillumination no trace.

The  HEIZ-dials left themselves, as also the pointers, after the description to perfectly exchange. Above all was important to get a specification to the adjustment of the pointers and the pre-loading of the pointers. All punching out were present and self adhesive are the dials likewise, so that they do not take much time up when assembling.

The in-laminated paper speedometer dials could not be mounted unfortunately after the guidance. Afterwords one had removed and pulled the pointers afterwords the pins out.Adjustement of the pointers no longer possible. Furthermore the holes for the stop pins for all pointers with the pins were missing to 3 completely,so that the pointers do not stand for no more after assembly and considered prloading now in zero position.en. Also 2 puching out in the consumption gauge were missing, so that one had to create remedy with shears.Sticking material??? Property me bilateral adhesive splicing tape bought and it thereby installs. Were 3 assembly variants to the selection! Which was now the correct for this car?Third even offerd to leave the old dials in it whereby then a tranillumination is ensured to no more at night. Puching out for the light rule sensor was mission likewise.

 

Those HEIZ dials have in my eyes a purchase price, which is justfield, since there was nothing to complain of so far. The assembly did not go fixed and one needed anythink over again to go. The transillumination did not leave desire open and the optics by day is sportly owing to the matte-white or alternatively aluminum-brushed surface and everythink else as cheap!

This “speedometer dials” did not inspire me unfortunately at all. Also, if they cost only between 23 and 60 euro,the money is eliminatrd to the window. Only ther sdifficult assembly, then (if Iwould have gone now notioless to the guidance) I would have to let the instruments readjust. 120 euro on the role conditions cost with BMW. And at the end still the extremely bad transillumination at night! If one exact, one recognizes even shade of the instrumenting behind the speedometer foil.

I for my part think:

I will not risk it to rob from me with any cheap foils the insurance protection of the vehicle since they are not felt possibly with the TÜV or of the police as traffic suited.

I paid some 1000 euro for the tuning at my vehicle (Ford Focus). Of 17 tariff rims over chrome interior equipment and tail lamps, spoiler, chassis and so on. There I will not save also with my next car to it, on wich I look while driving at most, at day, like also at night: On my dials in the speedometer! with kind regards Mike

Those HEIZ dials convinced me with a full red Transillumination, which 100% did not fail evenly, but nevertheless absolutely to my satisfaction.. Also the pointers shine in ared clay/tone, since the dials have corresponding analyzed fields behind the pointers.

The transillumination of the paper disks was noticeable unfortunatelly unsatisfactonily. The paper structure was exactly recognizable. The transillumination was unfortunatelly extremely uneven and did not satisfy themselves not. I had understood also by “blue transillumination” something else!

The pointers were so recognizable the TÜV these dials would not exist

In front an imprtant note to speedometer foils, to which you do not have to give an attention, if you acquired a product of our house, since our speedometer dials all necessary requirements becomes fair to dials in vehicles, which are certified in the traffic:

Speedometer foil are permissible only then in the vehicle and do not lead only then not to a negative TÜV report and / or a deactivation of the vehicle or a lack map with a traffic control, if following conditions specified, how the transillumination and readability at night as the accurate scaling with the TÜV special attention are dedicated!
